Had fibre with Orcon since 2013, great on 100/50 plan, loved the 200/200 plan...but the 1Gb offering is a nightmare, zero support from the level 2 tech folk. Very poor. Beware! We have been without a phone for long periods, and are getting slow download speeds. Beware!!!
No support from the support team. No followup. Not happy!

slow speed of line. haven't upgraded Modem ever after many years despite requests
support helpful
lots of services other don't do such as domain name hosting

Been with Orcon for about a year. Was fine, had a few DNS issues, but was easy to deal with. Contract ended and they switched us out to a new plan with the same speed and unlimited data, but it's unbearably unstable and they refuse to deal with it.
Plan included a decent VOIP phone, and for the most part, they were fine - until December 2016.
1. DNS issues. Their DNS servers are screwy.

Disconnected my internet 3 times within a space of 4 months of being with them. The reason for all disconnections was their error as I pay by direct debit, so not payment issues. When connecting me initially they disconnected my existing service provider but I hadn't received my modem yet. Speed is good, when its on. Support is available for the basics. Bills can be emailed to you.

I spent 36 hours on phone to Orcon in many phonemails of about 20 minutes to over an hour long trying to get my Ultra fast broadband and VOIP phone to work simultaneously. But I am now leaving them because they still haven't managed to do this after about 9 months. Very frustrating. Their phone help-centre is in the Philippines and there is little coordination and noone has the authorisation to make a decision!
