Worst Support I have ever experienced. They know nothing about NZ, all pinoys. Internet is always choking slow or broken. My part time job from last 1 month is to call their retarded support staff everyday who don't even let you speak and keep regurgitating scripted lines or cut you off or put you on hold. So called technical support don't even understand basic IT/networking terms.
Pros:
None; ( my internet crashed twice while writing this review; had to write 3 times)
Cons:
Support, reliability, speed. I wish they go bankrupt soon.

Was a customer for over 2 years never missing payment. They deleted our email and didn't tell us. It took 7 attempts contacting by phone, email and support tockets over a 6 week period to get them to accept it was deleted and get it turned back on. It took me over 6 hours of my time to get a simple explanation and action by Orcon to fix the issue. Didnt connect me up within 7-10 working days, it took over a month to set me up with ADSL when I was paying for VDSL.
Unstable internet connection for the first month.
No perks of joining VDSL plans.

Speed was the main concern we have to switch over to the new service provider and again we wanted to try the fibre connection as the current one was DSL not sure if it was A or V but whichever it was speed was quite unacceptable with the amount we were paying monthly.
Pros:
Haven't used the other features so cannot comment on the pros
Cons:
Speed as I mentioned earlier was the main hurdle for us. As an internet subscriber all you wanted is speed and not lose connection in between.

I actively discourage people ever joining Orcon, I have never liked a retailer less.

Support/ customer service is useless or non existent, service is unreliable and patchy at best. Provided routers are seriously lacking and their infrastructure is abysmal.

Useless when we first arranged it - we had to contact Chorus to sort out the fibre connection. Since then the signal has been variable at best and sometimes the download speed is worse than the old copper. And Orcon don't want to know.

Unlimited for $99 with a landline

Poor strength and initially problems with our house alarm
