Naked broadband plans
Unlimited naked broadband. Sound good? If that’s what you’re after, you’ve come to the right place. At Bigpipe, we do just broadband. At Bigpipe, we won't try to sell you a landline that you don't want or need. Some other internet providers only sell bundled packages, but we’re just a broadband provider – and we do our broadband naked and unlimited, the way it should be. You can always get a landline from someone else, but if you want pure, unlimited, cheap broadband then we should talk.
Naked ADSL and VDSL
Our entry level ADSL plans are great for home users who want fast and unlimited broadband, but don’t need the higher download speeds required for full-on online gaming and live streaming. Our mid-level VDSL plan is where you start to experience some really serious speed, and it is great for gaming and live streaming, not to mention that it is also unlimited like all our naked broadband plans, which means no data caps (for real!).
If you live on the internet and only the fastest connection will do, then you’ve got to try our naked UFB plans. Download speeds up to 900 Mbps and upload speeds up to 500 Mbps depending on which plan you choose - it doesn’t get any faster than this. They advertised 100 Mbps speed, but to date the highest speed I have seen is 25 Mbps with the average speed of 12.96 Mbps. They do not have any techs nor software to run diagnostics and rely on the customer to spend time running the tests for them. I have complained numerous times to them, but they are unable and unwilling to fix my problem.
No Network Operations Center. They are unable to troubleshoot any problems.

We used ADSL as a temporary option while waiting for our Fibre to set up. However, it took us almost 3 months of rescheduling and in the end we just gave up.
There was a bit of drama when cancellig our fibre installation, we were promised that we can cancel and not get charged by the early termination fee. But then, they say they will charge us. When we tell them that we were promised by another agent with a reference number, they keep on mentioning that its part of the T&C. ...read more

I've used several major ISPs in New Zealand and Bigpipe leaves them all in the dust. Their support team is fantastic, don't be put off by the lack of a call centre, the online team outclasses any phone service. They've never given us any issues with speed or connectivity and they have some of the best speeds and prices to offer in NZ. If you're looking for a provider, particularly for high-speed fibre, Bigpipe is the best you can get.
Best support team I've come across.
Fibre actually goes up to gigabit speeds.
Always the advertised speeds.
Slightly more expensive than some other providers, but not by much.
Don't have some of the same add on promotions for streaming services etc.

It is easy to get service but really hard to leave the ISP. I don't recommend this ISP unless you intend to stay in AKL in short period time.
Make sure getting a proper confirmation email( they are only available in email) even though you have submitted a request for disconnection.
No contract all prepaid
No direct contact support. Only email service available so that it is very hard to get proper service.

Just rubbish service. The whole customer service via website doesn't work. Have just changed provider in frustration.

Bigpipe seemed good for review,however once moving into house we had to wait a month for a connection!! We gave the expected move dates and just to get hold of them was impossible it says 2hours we will email back then 48hours later. after a month of being without internet and everyday me driving to a wifi spot to email them they would reply with have you tried plugging it in another wall etc,so we brought a new modem because they said and still same problem Not Working! Economic but good overall performance.
Generally a bit cheaper than competitors. VDSL connection has been relatively stable with very few speed issues.
Online email support is terrible, very slow to respond. Have requested an upgrade to UFB for literally months now with responses saying "we'll get you connected ASAP" but it never eventuates. I am considering a change in ...read more

On install I had network speed issues and despite following all the required tests no one at BigPipe could explain why my connection was not up to speed. In frustration I decided to try to resolve it myself, took apart the wiring and found that Chorus had put a screw through the cable - once I changed the wire all was ok until my plan was "upgraded" .

Basic service package, no firlls... but no real problems
none really, no frill service and no frills price
